Tag Heuer - I just want a watch!

In such an uncertain economy - everyone is doing their best - bending head-over-heal, to get a bit more for their money - and boy are some amazing offers out there!
The advantage is of-course ours - the savvy consumer - perusing through desperate retailer after buyer incentive - buy-3-get-the-4th free deals, to find exactly what we want (and a little more) to stretch our dollar.
The flip-side to all this is that it has become far easier for stores to hide the trash for sale with everyone looking to get a deal, volume, quantity, over quality. The proverbial “bang” for their buck in size rather than craftsmanship.

Needless to say, when you are just trying to buy 1 thing – you don’t want the new gym bag or the L’Oreal perfume miniatures, you don’t want to buy 2 for half the price or get a free year of Time magazines – you just want that one thing - the bracelet, the perfume, the watch, the pair of sneakers – whatever it is. And that’s where I have found an oasis – a virtual happy-place that allows you to shop for what you want – simply.

I was looking for that perfect birthday present for my boyfriend and kept striking out until I found Tag Heuer! Every man secretly harbors that lustful itch for the perfect watch and needless to say, Tag Heuer has mastered it. I was flipping through an issue of Maxim with my boyfriend and came across the Tag Heuer ad – I actually saw my boyfriend swallow! He was salivating! His eyes became a little hazy and unfocused and he just stared at that Tag like he was undressing it. So – I now knew what to get him – but from where? As I mentioned, who wants the clutter when all you need is the one watch? I valiantly went on my search for this watch, stretching my fingers and getting comfortable for what I know was going to be a marathon of comparisons and shipping rates, return policies and fine print – all out of love of course… There was no need! I found the mother lode! This great store just sitting there – clean and neat, easy to navigate and prices clearly marked – and nothing else – just watches – sooo many watches.

I picked my Tag Heuer out from their (extremely affordable) collection, had it shipped for free 2nd day UPS and resigned myself to becoming the 3rd wheel in our relationship – for a little while at least.
